ATLASSIAN ENGINEER TRAINEE

You are limited or non existent in your knowledge of the Atlassian stack. We will provide you with patience for your development, tools and the support to get to our level of service. If you have the eagerness, discipline and the talent to learn all about Atlassian eco system. Beware we do not have a school, self-supporting will be partially required.
ARE YOU THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THE JOB?
You have some basic hands-on experience with installing, upgrading, the maintenance and above all the configuration of the Atlassian stack. Or maybe not and you excel in other talents we require.
Scripting skills for automation or functional purposes don’t sound like a disease
You are communicative and very analytic, devops-like. Eager to (self)learn.
You understand the ‘be the change that you wish to see’ concept
Understand what it takes to deliver a well-executed project to fully satisfy (y)our customer
DAILY SCHEDULE WILL LOOK LIKE
Analyzing customer’s requirements, challenging those requirements
Documenting the projects crisp and clear, well structured (in- and externally)
Follow-up of your projects, we value direct and transparent communication
Configuration onsite and remote of the Atlassian stack
YOUR BIOSPHERE WILL CONTAIN WORDS LIKE
Linux on top, some Windows, Virtualization, VMWare, Cloud Computing, Docker
Applications: Understanding of Issue trackers, wikis, continuous integration servers, source code control systems (GIT, Svn, …)
Development: Java, Maven, Gradle, Scripting
Concepts: Agile development methodologies, Configuration management, Devops, Business process modelling
Bonus points:
- You have some hidden system engineering skills (including Ubuntu, CentOS, Redhat, Windows
- Engineering skills for databases (oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL), email systems, and proxy software (Apache, IIS) or application servers (Tomcat)
